Kiiwi

Refunds and cancellation

Last updated 9 September 2026

14 days, no reason needed. Email support with the email address you bought with, and the money goes back the way it came.

Why it is that simple

Every one of the 38 switches is playable in the browser before you pay, so nobody should be buying Kiiwi to find out what it sounds like. If it still is not what you wanted, arguing about it is a worse use of both our time than a refund.

How to ask

  1. Email support within 14 days of purchase.
  2. Include the email address you bought with, or the payment id from your receipt. Either one is enough to find the order.
  3. A reason is welcome but not required. If something is broken, saying so helps fix it for the next person.

You get back the full $4.99. The payment processor's fees are not deducted from it: they are a cost of selling something, not yours to carry. Refunds are issued by Dodo Payments, the merchant of record, to the original payment method. How long it takes to appear is your bank's business, not ours: card refunds commonly take 5 to 10 working days.

What happens to your licence

A refund revokes the licence key. Kiiwi re-checks its key when it launches, so the app will stop working on the Macs it was activated on, and any remaining activations on that key are cancelled. This is the same mechanism that lets the app work offline, so it may take until the next launch with a network connection to take effect.

After 14 days

The guarantee is 14 days, but write anyway if something is wrong. A bug, a charge you did not expect, a duplicate purchase or an app that will not activate is a support problem, not a refund window problem.

One limit worth knowing, because it is not ours to waive: our payment processor will not process a refund more than 30 days after the purchase. Past that the money cannot be sent back even if we both want it to be, so if something is wrong, say so early rather than politely waiting.

Cancellation

There is nothing to cancel. Kiiwi is a one-time purchase with no subscription, no trial that converts, no auto-renewal and no stored payment method on our side. Closing the checkout page before paying charges you nothing.

Duplicate purchases

Bought twice by accident? Email support and the duplicate is refunded in full. There is only one thing to buy, so there is no wrong version to end up with.

Freeing an activation

Not a refund matter, and not usually an email either: Settings → General → Deactivate This Mac hands the seat back yourself. Write only if the Mac is already gone, wiped or sold, and it gets freed by hand.

Chargebacks

Please email first. A chargeback costs both sides a fee and takes weeks, and there is nothing a bank can get you here that an email cannot get you faster.
